This stuff gets tricky, and i have to think it through every time. What do we mean when we say increased by 200%?

In 2007, you expect a 200% increase.
What do you expect in 2007?
140 donations? or 70+140=210 donations?
I guess 140 would be 100 percent increase, but 140 is 200% of 70.
See what I mean?
Am I just being a nit-picky former math teacher?
